Answer key
- Submission. Islam means submission, to the one God. The name itself states the faith's core act. (Deuteronomy 6:4)
- A prophet and messenger of God. Islam honours Jesus highly as prophet, virgin-born and miracle-working, while denying he is the Son of God or that he was crucified. (John 1:14)
- The fullness of the Deity. Paul says the fullness of the Deity dwells in Christ bodily. Jesus is not a prophet carrying God's message. He is God in the flesh. (Colossians 2:9)
- He does not have the Father. John draws the line with love and without blur: denying the Son means not having the Father. Confessing the Son means having both. (1 John 2:23)
- The iniquity of us all. Isaiah says the LORD laid on the suffering servant the iniquity of us all. The cross is where God's justice and mercy meet. (Isaiah 53:6)
- Let him be under a curse. Paul guards the gospel itself: a different message, even from an angel, is not a second option. The gospel bridge is built on the true gospel or it is built on nothing. (Galatians 1:8)
